One Powerful Step That Will Change Your Focus And Your Life

Are you ready?  Your focus and eventually your life will change with this powerful step that is so simple that would laughable if you weren’t so tired.  Did you know that your thoughts determine your focus?  In turn, your focus determines your actions and your actions determine the direction that you life takes.

So, you may be thinking, “How is changing my thoughts going to change the fact that I am a single parent who works way too many hours, barely sleeps and can’t even imagine what going on a date would feel like?”

I have been there and what I am about to tell you is exactly how I changed my life.

Negative messages bombard us continually in life. Most of these are self imposed and in reality hurt us, while only a small percentage are actually important to our survival.

So, how do you begin to change your thoughts?

More importantly, those self-imposed thoughts that no longer serve you or your future. The first thing is to become aware of them and start implementing a simple practice that will allow you to change these patterns.

Here’s my one simple and powerful strategy: Get a journal!

To be clear, your journal doesn’t have to be fancy.  It can be as simple as a spiral notebook.  The important thing is that you have a dedicated place to complete this one-week strategy. Because, every day this week you will follow the guidelines I’m sharing and write in this dedicated space. Yes, every day!

How bad do you want to change?

How bad do you want the post-divorce life you deserve?

You can have this new amazing life!  You deserve it!

Ready? Lets do this!

Day One

  • First, write three things that happened today that you are grateful for and why. Note: this can be a simple as waking up or as complex as something special that happened during the day.

Day Two

  • First, write three things that happened today that you are grateful for and why.
  • Than, write three things in life (as a whole) that you are grateful for and why.
  • In addition, write three things that you would like to change this week about your life and why.  Note: Start with simple changes that wont be overly complicated to implement.

Day Three

  • First, write six things that happened today that you are grateful for and why.
  • Than, write six things that you are grateful to have in your life
  • In addition, create a detailed plan for how you are going to change the first thing on your “things you would like to change” list from Day Two.

Day Four

  • First, write six things that happened today that you are grateful for and why
  • Than, write six things that you are grateful to have in your life
  • In addition, create a detailed plan for how you are going to change the second thing on your “things you would like to change ” list from Day Two

Day Five

  • First, write eight things that happened today that you are grateful for and why
  • Than, write six things that you are grateful for in your life
  • In addition, create a detailed plan for how you are going to change the third thing on your “things you would like to change” list from Day Two

Day Six

  • First, write ten things that happened today that you are grateful for and why
  • Than, write ten things that you are grateful for in your life
  • In addition, follow through with your plans from each of the changes you would like to make in your life. One change at a time!

Day Seven And Beyond

  • Repeat Day Six until you have successfully made the changes you want to make in your life
  • Repeat this process every time you complete the previous changes

Follow these steps and you will change your daily focus to a more positive one.

In addition, it will also help identify the steps you need to take to change the things that you no longer want in your life.  Follow this process each week from start to finish.  When you stick with it, before you know it you will be living the amazing life that you deserve! This very simple practice works. I know from personal experience because these are the exact steps I took to change my life!
